Spectrum scoops the GOLD in their most successful award show to date
Monday, 28th April 2014 saw some of the Middle East’s most elite Printers gathered at Madinat Jumeirah for the eighth edition of the Dubai International Print Awards. The awards, hosted by the Printing and Publishing Group, take place every year and recognize excellence in the Middle Eastern Printing industry.
As long-standing supporters of the Dubai International Print Awards and the Print and Publishing Group, Spectrum entered submissions across a diverse range of categories. Although we are veterans of these awards, having been awarded our fair share in the past, we were as excited as ever as we headed to the event with two entire tables dedicated to our team.
The night got off to a bit of a slow start as we narrowly missed out on some of the early categories. Lucky for us, the dry spell ended quickly and resulted in a quick-fire succession of wins in not one but FIVE categories. The first award was a bronze for “Innovation” in which we had entered a beautifully crafted, personalised box for Etihad Airlines and Manchester City Football Club. It only got better from there as we scooped a silver award for “Digital Annual Report”, and THREE gold awards for “Digital Card”, “Digital Catalogue” and “Digital Brochure” respectively making it one of our most successful wins at any awards show to date.
Spectrum Management in their Bowtie’sWhen it comes to fashion choices for the event, the Spectrum team always like to look sharp and standout from the crowd – this year was certainly no different. The, albeit unofficial, best-dressed award surely had to go to the Spectrum Management team who were sporting exclusive Spectrum bow-ties and pocket-squares; take a look at the guys below.
As ever, Spectrum would like to thank the PPG judging panel for recognizing our hard work. It really does make the effort worthwhile when you receive praises from such respected colleagues within the industry. We would also like to congratulate the other participants who have yet again raised the bar for next year’s competition. They have also proved just how formidable and competitive UAE printers are on the world’s stage
